Connor Hagan is a musical theatre actor from Charleston, South Carolina, currently seeking opportunities across the United States. He is at a point in his career where the work comes first — chasing better stories, bigger challenges, and the kinds of roles that push him somewhere he hasn't been before. He holds tight to the friendships he makes along the way, and the community he builds in every new city is just as important to him as the work itself.

Connor spent a year studying musical theatre at AMDA in New York before leaving after two semesters to pursue the career on his own terms. That decision was tested early. Fresh out of school and uncertain of his footing, he got a call from a director who wanted him for the Emcee in Cabaret. He took the role, and something shifted. It was the first time he fully understood what he was capable of, and it set the tone for everything that followed. Shortly after, he booked his first regional gig at Charleston Stage, where he gained more real-world understanding of this industry than any classroom could have given him.

His stage credits include Harold Hill in The Music Man, Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show, the Emcee in Cabaret, and Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory Musical Parody. He is drawn to characters with dimension — the kind that make an audience feel something they weren't expecting to feel. His bucket list includes a national tour, and the idea of adapting to a new stage every few weeks genuinely excites him rather than intimidating him.

Offstage, Connor is a musician at heart — somewhere along the way he accumulated 11 pianos, four guitars and counting. He sight-reads, plays jazz, studies all kinda of dance, and enjoys reading up on psychology & philosophy. He is also a devoted nerd — about writing, about storytelling, about musical theatre in particular. Into the Woods, Next to Normal, and Hadestown are the shows he returns to when he needs to remember why he does this. When he is not in a rehearsal room or a dance class, he is probably playing a fantasy card game or building something in Minecraft, which he will freely admit was formative.

He also shares his home with a solid black cat named Sweeney, who has excellent taste and very high standards.

What drives Connor is straightforward: he loves theatre, he loves music, and he wants to keep getting better at both. He is looking for collaborators who feel the same way — directors, choreographers, and fellow actors who want to make something worth making. He believes the best thing that can happen on a stage is shared energy between people who are genuinely present, and he brings that belief into every rehearsal room he walks into.
